Description:

Pantoprazole [CAS No: 102625-70-7] is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcers and conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which helps to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Pantoprazole selectively inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system of gastric parietal cells, which is last step in acid production, resulting in sustained acid suppression and promotes healing of acid- related damage in the gastrointestinal tract.

Pantoprazole is well-tolerated and widely used in both short term and long term therapy and also is available in delayed release and injectable forms.

Chemox Pharma is a manufacturer of Pantoprazole, offering WHO-GMP certified facilities and a robust R&D infrastructure. Mechanism of Actions

Pantoprazole Sodium is a proton pump inhibitor that selectively inhibits the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells. By blocking the final step of gastric acid secretion, it reduces stomach acid production and promotes healing of acid-related gastrointestinal mucosal damage. This mechanism supports its therapeutic use in GERD, peptic ulcer disease, and hypersecretory conditions.

Safety Precautions

  • Handle in approved pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities

  • Avoid exposure without protective equipment

  • Prevent dust generation and inhalation

  • Follow GMP containment procedures

  • Dispose according to regulatory guidelines

Storage

  • Store in tightly closed containers

  • Protect from moisture and light

  • Maintain controlled room temperature

  • Keep in designated API storage areas

  • Follow GMP warehouse practices
